Mizoram Boy Who Rushed Injured Chicken To Hospital Has Been Rewarded By His School!

Derek C. Lalchhanhima had become the talk of the internet overnight with his act of kindness towards a mere chicken.

The 6-year-old boy from Sairang Mizoram had accidentally run over his neighbour’s chicken with his cycle. Guilt-stricken and wanting to help the bird, he gathered whatever pocket money he had left and rushed the little chicken to the nearest hospital.

A post that went viral on the internet yesterday showed the scared little boy holding the chicken in one hand and a ten rupee note on the other. Netizens showered him with love and blessings and lauded his innocent act.

Sanga Says, the man who uploaded the video, told sources, “He did not understand that the chick is dead and begged his parents to take it to the hospital. His father told him to go himself, which he did with ten rupees”.

However, his kindness didn’t go unrewarded. He was appreciated and awarded by his school St. Pio for his heartwarming gesture!
