Remembering Milkha Singh, ‘The Flying Sikh’, Celebrities Mourn Demise Of The Icon

Covid-19 has taken away many great names from the world. Milkha Singh, popularly known as the ‘Flying Sikh’ was infected by it and had tested positive on May 19. But later, he tested Covid-negative and was shifted from the ICU at PGIMER hospital in Chandigarh.

However, in a heartbreaking incident, the four-time Asian Games gold medalist has passed away due to post-covid complications, reports TOI. He was 91 years old.

“Dad just passed away,” his son and legendary golfer Jeev Milkha Singh informed the press.

Milkha Singh had developed fever and a dip in oxygen saturation level from Thursday night and later, lost the battle. His wife, 85-year-old Nirmal Kaur, had succumbed to covid-related complications on Sunday.
