But some adventure-seeking couples go to any extent to make their wedding an event of a lifetime. Like this couple who was literally on cloud nine when they said ‘I Do’ to the love of their life.
Reportedly belonging to a family of high-wire artists, the bride Anna Traber, 33, got married metres above the ground in the German town of Breisach. She held her wedding ceremony on a tightrope, above the marketplace of her hometown. Anna married Sven Lier in the unique ceremony whilst hanging in the air. Beautiful pictures of the unique wedding were widely shared online. The couple was seen seated on the swing exchanging their vows while the crowd in the marketplace cheered for them.

Anna’s father Johann Traber drove the couple with a motorcycle over the rope.
The couple along with the registrar were hanging midair onto a tightly stretched wire rope to commence the wedding. The registrar was driven by another motorcyclist. He sat secured with seat belts while pronouncing the couple husband and wife.
The couple sat on an iron winglike structure covered with flowers dressed in their wedding attires.
“Every marriage is a tightrope walk. For our marriage, the tightrope should be the right starting point and a good omen,” Traber said.
