When Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones (read agents J and K) donned their sharp black suits and blew aliens to smithereens with their hi-tech weaponry in ‘Men In Black’ 22 years ago, fans were over the moon. The movie had the right dose of action, humour and excitement. After 2 sequels, the franchise is being carried forward by Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in ‘Men In Black: International.’
Did their iteration do justice to the previous films? Did it go over and beyond audience expectations or fail at doing so? Let’s decode the reactions with a Twitter review.
The things that people thought worked in the movie were the good-looking Asgardians from the ‘Thor’ series teaming up to save the planet and looking like a million bucks while doing so. Tessa (a female agent, finally) and Chris’ chemistry was lauded by fans.
MIB International I liked it a lot. Loved it really. Tessa and Chris chemistry is magical. Kumail Nanjiani brought the laughs and I’m positive everyone will enjoy the Easter eggs. Solid film by F. Gary Gray, cast, and crew. Welcome back Men In Black. pic.twitter.com/k3JrF059WB

The reviews might be bad but I LOVED the new Men in Black movie! They included asexual representation in their lead character! It feels great to be seen by a franchise I grew up with and seen through an actress I love #pride #asexual #ace 🏳️🌈 pic.twitter.com/fNSxMk7hYu

🌸Men In Black International 🌸 Rate: 3.8/5
"Chris Hemsworth was the main attraction of this movie.Predictable plot twist. Great chemistry between Chris and Tessa. Kelakar jugak. Ade some action. Overall enjoyable but not that great."#MenInBlackInternational #MIBInternational pic.twitter.com/JRD2my0DEG— faiz wahiza (@FaizWahiza) June 11, 2019
#MIB Spoiler Free Review: @TessaThompson_x shines. There’s a fair amount of humor and it did a great job of making you feel like you’re in the MIB world. However, it does suffer from an underwhelming third act. Despite that, I would love to see more of these two. pic.twitter.com/BEkHDScdXO

Movie was really predictable, and a couple of the plot points didn’t make sense, and I knew who the bad guy was from the start. Pawny (the little green alien) stole the show imo and really made the audience laugh. I give this movie a 5.8/10 (2/2)

Just watched #MIBInternational and I'm glad to say I really enjoyed it!
The chemistry between Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson is the engine of the film and Kumail Nanjiani's part might as well steal the movie. #MIB is the ideal movie for the summer! 🍿 pic.twitter.com/IdYIkGRmyE

But the loudest cheers were reserved for Pawny, the alien voiced by stand-up comedian Kumail Nanjani. He is a friend of Agents H & M and practically steals the show.
I want more Pawny! The most sardonic alien since I-don’t-know-who. #MIBInternational #MIB pic.twitter.com/WRaeYtrugk

Hands down the true star of #MenInBlackInternational is @kumailn, who steals every single scene that he's in. pic.twitter.com/fM5kPSSo42

However, many people thought that the storyline wasn’t engaging enough and the plot was too predictable to elicit any surprise in the climax.
#MIBInternational Level yawn !!

The chemistry Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth had in Thor: Ragnarok is absent from #MenInBlackInternational. There's really nothing compelling you to care about either of their characters or the story + apart from Kumail Nanjiani's Pawnie, there is nothing to laugh at either.
