It’s finally Met Gala 2022 where some of our favourite celebrities are serving gorgeous red carpet looks while the rest of us spend hours scrolling through our phones in our pyjamas criticising the pictures. This year’s theme is ‘Gilded Glamour’ – where celebrities can pull inspiration from New York’s gilded age – a period of materialism and political corruption in the U.S. during the 1870s. According to Vanity Fair, it was a time when fashion was characterised by “excess grandiosity”.
In my opinion, the only celebrity who understood the assignment to the tea is Blake Lively, who also happens to be this year’s host along with her husband Ryan Reynolds.
