As most you know by now, Google released its #YearInSearch findings yesterday. And the spot for most googled celebrity in the world was bagged by The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. Her acting career, her wedding and her fashion choices have been hot topics for discussion in 2018. Even the time when she held an umbrella for her husband and her pregnancy announcement garnered interest among people. In her recent outing though, her dark nail polish started a whole new argument about the royal dress code.
Meghan was at the British Fashion Awards in London. Here, she presented an award for British Womenswear Designer of the Year. The winner was Clare Waight Keller who was also responsible for turning the royal wedding gown into reality. The Duchess wore a black dress and nail paint to match. This very nail paint had everyone in a tizzy because it broke royal rules. Experts claim that the royal family is expected to sport only light hued nail paints.
