Students gatecrashing weddings to have free food is not just something that was shown in the film ‘3 Idiots’ for fun. In fact, it is a reality, or as some would call it, an “age-old tradition”. At many wedding functions, you will find a group of people entering, who are neither from the bride’s side nor the groom’s, and enjoying the sumptuous spread laid out on the table. They even make small talk with some of the guests so as to not raise suspicion!
However, one MBA student who hails from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, gatecrashed a wedding to eat free food but later got caught by the organizers! Sadly, he was made to wash dishes at the wedding as punishment, reported Aaj Tak.
In a video that has gone viral, a man can be heard asking him about why he did what he did. He also questioned him about his educational qualification while the guy scrubbed the plates.
Have a look at the video here:

However, a lot of people were angered after seeing the video. Many expressed that people don’t mind wasting tons of food at weddings but will punish a guy who was hungry and just wanted to grab a free bite.
Disgraceful. Weddings are for sharing. Reason these are for community feasting. Raste jaate logon ko bhi khilaya jaata hai. Koi pay and eat program thode tha.

Even unvited guests should be fed on such occasions. They would go back happy and bless the couple .And he is just a student. What was achieved by video recording him washing plates . And shame on the news channel for broadcasting it !

If anyone in my family treat them like this when they get caught I’d be mad at my family and would happily treat him just like any other guest and let him go…Ek plate khana nahi de sakthe toh function kyu karna hai inko…poor man😢. Wish him all success and hope he moves on.

This is so disgusting. Food in weddings is a type of Annadan. If you can’t invite all the least you can do is welcome all who come. Anyway in a crowd of 2000 who cares if you feed 100 strangers more.

They could throw the remaining food but will resist to let some needy unknown to eat it

What’s more tragic is that they have defamed him by circulating his video. In India where feeding people is taken in good moral such incidents should be normalized.
