Working Professional Couple Sells Poha & Idli On Street To Support 55-YO Maid With Paralysed Husband

There’s no greater deed than helping a fellow human being. But it indeed takes guts to do something for others, selflessly without expecting something in return. And in today’s world, it’s tough to find such a kind soul. But such people do exist and this couple from Mumbai is proof!

Dipali Bhatia shared an incident in a Facebook post where she talked about a couple, she spotted while looking for good breakfast food outside the Kandivali railway station on Wednesday.

The couple was selling popular breakfast items like Poha, Idlis, Upma, Paranthas etc. As she approached the stall, Dipali could sense something different about the couple and decided to talk to them.

“Looking at the Sellers they looked from Gujarati family and after trying some food I asked them how come they are selling food on road,” she wrote in her Facebook post.

The answer that the couple gave is the best example of kindness and selflessness in today’s world.

“We are supplying selling stuff cooked by the cook maid who is 55 years old and whose husband is down with Paralysis,” the couple told Deepali.

Both the husband and wife are working professionals with reputed firms. The husband has completed his master’s degree in communication and works as a Business Development Manager. The wife works as Team Lead, Business Development with a reputed company. They also told Dipali that they sell food made by their maid from 4 am to 10 am and then go to their own work. Calling the couple ‘true heroes’ Dipali wrote in her post, the couple is taking extra efforts to assure that their 55-year-old maid doesn’t have to run for financial aid.
