Big Bang Theory Actor Mayim Bialik Ditches Plastic For Stainless Steel Utensils, Desis React

If you’ve been a fan of the sitcom ‘The Big Bang Theory’ you probably already know who Mayim Bialik is. She essayed the character of neuroscientist Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler in the series. But did you know she holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience in real life as well?

Recently, she posted about switching to stainless steel utensils for her kids and wrote about how they were dishwasher safe and a much better alternative than plastic.

Some people pointed out that such utensils were commonplace in Indian households, others said the west is slowly discovering sustainable practices that we’ve used for ages.

A few Twitter users jokingly said that Amy could’ve just asked Raj (aka astrophysicist Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali played by Kunal Nayyar on the show) about such desi things.

Using Ghee in cooking is another tradition of ours that the west has picked up. Do you know of more such instances? Tell us.
