Pillai, a professional currently working in a Bangalore-based startup, said that the matrimonial profile made her come across as someone who was ‘desperate to get married’, and so she decided to take the matter in her own hands and make her own matrimonial CV.

In her CV, she described herself, her likes and dislikes, and what she wants from life. She then asked her parents to send this to anyone who ‘had the nerve to ask for her hand in marriage’.

Needless to say, this website went viral soon after, with like-minded women all across the country appreciating her for stepping up and doing what she wanted.

Pillai also mentioned in her blog about how several genuinely interested men contacted her after the incident, but she preferred to remain friends because she isn’t looking to get married any time soon. She expressed her views about her plans to travel across India before she decides to settle down.

A source mentions that her parents were very skeptical in the beginning, but are now loosening up and beginning to enjoy the entertainment. Her father is planning on sending her link to proposals that might be coming their way.

Way to go, Indhuja! We love your spirit, and we hope that this move motivates several other women who have goals and dreams of their own, and want to find someone who runs wild with them. 🙂
