Matrimonial advertisements in newspapers are sometimes cringe-worthy and at other times really hilarious (unintentionally of course). We’ve seen instances of unemployed men seeking working brides and people using social media addiction as a filtering criterion.
Now, Twitter user Sharada has found one ad looking for a “fair, beautiful, homely, educated” girl by a family who describes the boy as “industrialist effluent” with a kothi in Noida.

What they probably meant to write was affluent which means rich but ended up saying effluent that refers to liquid waste produced by factories.

People online are roasting them by making ‘filthy’ jokes and saying that they inadvertently showed everyone their toxicity with the typo.

Just in case, for those who didn’t get it -“Effluent is an outflowing of water or gas to a natural body of water, from a structure such as a wastewater treatment plant, sewer pipe, or industrial outfall. Effluent, in engineering, is the stream exiting a chemical reactor.”
