Guy Proves T-Series’ New Song ‘Mast Aankhein’ Is Inspired By Taher Shah’s ‘Eye To Eye’

Inspiration can come from anywhere, but when someone blatantly tries to copy lyrics and music from other artists, it’s senseless to assume that people will not know.

Earlier, people were quick to point out that the beats in the song ‘Tere Pyaar Mein’ sounded similar to Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Lover’.

Well, a couple of days ago, singers Tulsi Kumar and Jubin Nautiyal dropped their new music video ‘Mast Aankhein’, the lyrics and music team of which also includes ace musician Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

The romantic song by the artists is being liked by all. But somehow, it’s also reminding them of Pakistani singer Taher Shah’s acclaimed song “Eye to Eye”.

For those unknown with the magic of Taher Shah, the artist from across the border became famous after he released his first song “Eye to Eye” in 2013. The music video which is produced by and stars Shah throughout it talks about expressing love “eye to eye”. Apparently, it took him a year and a half to write the lyrics for the song.

Music composer Mayur Jumani was also among those who thought ‘ye gana toh suna suna hai’. After digging deep, he made a video wherein he shows the stark similarities between the two songs.

Apart from the fact that both the songs revolve around conveying love through the eyes and their music is on the same lines, Jubin Nautiyal also somehow looks similar to how Shah looks in his OG song.

In a video, Mayur also added a part of Shah’s song to Jubin’s song to testify his claims and TBH, they synced too well. His claims do make sense. Watch the video here:
