Thai Nurses Put Face Shields On Babies, While Andhra Man Ties Masks On Goats Amid Covid-19

The rapid rise in coronavirus cases has led to a shortage of protective gear around the globe. That is why several people including prison inmates and wives of police officers are manufacturing face masks to meet the increased demand.

Apart from safety gear for adults, people are also making masks for their beloved pets. Recently, a resident of Kallur Mandal covered his goats’ mouth with masks in order to protect them from COVID-19, reports Hindustan Times.

After hearing the news of a tiger testing positive for coronavirus, A Venkateshwara Rao started tying masks around his goats’ faces. He said that his family is entirely dependent on the goats for their livelihood.

“I have started tying masks around my goats’ mouths after I heard COVID-19 infected a tiger in the USA. Since I am wearing a mask myself, I even decided to make my goats wear masks while foraging in the forest area,” Rao said.

However, it is not just animals who are receiving special protective gear amid the crisis. Nurses at a Bangkok hospital have been putting tiny face shields on infants to protect them from the deadly virus, reports the Indian Express.
