The trailer not only instills a sense of dread with Tony’s seemingly final words. But it seals his fate by stating the fact that he has been going without food or water for four days. Additionally, the oxygen in the Benatar is about to end as he drifts off into the unknown. And that has infuriated many fans.

And why shouldn’t they be angry? From the beginning they’ve seen Tony Stark get mistreated, and almost killed, by terrorists.

Iron Man has been a second-tier character in the comics until Robert Downey Jr. picked him up and gave it his own spin. And with each appearance, he has made such an impact that fans fear for him, just like they’d fear for someone in real life. So, Marvel Studios, if you’re hearing, give my man, Tony Stark a break!
