Marriage is something you get into blindfolded. Despite different people flooding you with advice, you don’t know what to expect and what to deliver. You get going with the flow and hope for things to fall in place. However, one woman online took to Reddit to ask for some marriage advice.
Considering that she would be moving in with her in-laws, the soon-to-be-married woman asked about how to adjust into a new family.
“I’ll be moving into his house, so that makes me a bit insecure,” she said.

Many people responded and gave her pretty good advice – some very basic and some a bit more serious.
For example, never be disrespectful towards each other.
Think before saying anything, especially when you’re not in a very good mood.
Be careful about the mother-in-law.
Never, ever leave your job. And if you don’t have a job, get one. Financial independence should be of utmost importance for a woman.
Discuss finances with your husband and in-laws.
Do not lose out on your sense of self.
Have strong communication with your husband.
Try to get a separate space.
Always, always be good friends.
