But peeing in public can is not only against the law, but it can also sometimes cost you your car! Well, at least a recent incident in Noida proves so.
Rishabh Arora, a stockbroker from Noida was returning home totally drunk after attending a party. He parked his BMW which is originally owned by his brother-in-law and has 40 lac pending loan on it by the roadside to urinate. Meanwhile, some unidentified miscreants reached the spot and allegedly placed a gun on Arora’s back. They then fled with the car, reports NDTV.
“Police force including senior officials had reached the spot after a matter was reported that a man’s BMW car has been robbed,” Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Noida, Harish Chander told India Today.
“Prime facie, it appears the robbery was planned by someone who is known to the car’s owner,” Chander said. “An FIR has been registered against unidentified people and the police are probing the matter and will ensure the recovery of the vehicle soon,” he added.
When asked if Arora will be charged for drunk driving, police said, “The priority is to recover the BMW and ensure the arrest of the culprits. It’s a serious concern that somebody’s car gets stolen like this on city roads.”
Moral of the story: Think before you pee, especially on the roadside!
