We have all faced the ‘shaadi kab kar rahe ho?’ question. Faced with similar queries, an Indian man previously got a photoshoot done – with himself! But what would you do if your fiancé breaks up with you right before the wedding? Instead of canceling the ceremony, this person did something creative with it.
As per a report in Times Now, a doctor named Diogo Rabelo got engaged to his fiancé Vitor Bueno last year in November. They were scheduled to get married last month, but following a series of fights and arguments, Vitor decided to leave Diego in July 2020. Instead of canceling the wedding, Diogo decided to marry himself and celebrate the big day with a ceremony.
Diogo tied the knot with himself at a resort in Itacare, Bahia on October 16, 2020. The wedding was attended by 40 of the original wedding guests that were invited. However, Vitor’s family and friends were absent.
Diogo explained, “I analyzed the situation for a month and decided that I had to appreciate and love myself. I kept the ceremony and 40 of my 50 guests came. The message I wanted to send to people with this marriage of mine is not that of a victim, I do not depend on a marriage to be happy. I do want to marry someone else, and I want to have children, but my happiness cannot depend on that.”

Diogo concluded by saying, “Today is one of the happiest days of my life, as I’m with the people I love the most in this life, celebrating what could be a tragedy, but I made it a comedy.”
