Heartbreaks are not for the faint-hearted. But you cannot force anyone to stay in your life, right? Well, this woman who dreamt of marrying the love of her life lost all her senses when her boyfriend refused to marry her.
A woman from Chakan in Pune couldn’t bear the pain of betrayal from her boyfriend Suraj Nalawade and tried to end her life by poisoning herself. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. NDTV reported that the woman took the grave step when Suraj allegedly refused to marry her.

Allegedly, he reasoned that she belonged to a lower caste and his family won’t approve of their union. The woman claimed that Suraj betrayed her by making false promises to indulge in a sexual relationship and left her while she was pregnant. Following the high voltage drama, Suraj was forced to marry the victim in the presence of her parents inside the ICU.
But soon after the ceremony, Suraj was nowhere to be found. He managed to escape from the hospital after the forced wedding, following which the woman filed a case of rape against her absconding lover, reported Pune Mirror. The investigating officer Prakash Rathore said that an FIR has been filed against Suraj Nalwade, under IPC section 376 (punishment for rape). “The investigation has been initiated in the matter and we are looking for him,” he added.
The woman also reportedly filed a case under relevant provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against him.
