Every day you get to see bizarre things on the internet. But the Dungans family living in California didn’t have to look far. Recently, their security footage showed a man licking their doorbell for three hours!
#doorbelllicker We had just installed our Ring doorbell just less than a month ago. It paid off. Our home is the doorbell that was featured on #LivePD, 1/05/19 episode. So funny. It was great. Should I remove my sign (over perp’s right shoulder)? I’m embarrassed for his family. pic.twitter.com/JKnYFd6i3F

The police have been searching for the man, identified as Roberto Daniel Arroyo, who made a visit to the Dungans’ home last Saturday morning. The family was sleeping inside while the man licked their doorbell to glory. Even creepier is how he made eye contact with the camera while on the act.

According to sources, homeowner Sylvia Dungan was away at the time of the incident. However, her children were inside the house. They were notified by the surveillance system after it detected movement near the front door.
According to the Salinas Police Department, the 33-year old man entered the frame several times between 2AM and 5AM.
#LivePDDoorBellLicker …It was quite disturbing when we first viewed videos. Thanks to all your postings and humor, this made light of a sick situation. More videos of Doorbell licker pic.twitter.com/TpoRMVUXfH

“I thought, boy there’s a lot of traffic. I go, 5:00 in the morning? My son doesn’t get home till 6:00 a.m. well then who the heck is that?” Sylvia Dungan.
The man has also been accused of stealing extension cords powering Christmas decorations earlier. That is how the authorities recognized him. He now holds charges of prowling, theft, and violation of probation charges.
“This just kind of reinforces how important it is to have security within your home,” Sylvia added.
