First dates can go two ways – they can either be awkward and boring or really fun and comfortable. If they’re the latter, a second date is inevitable. But in case they’re the former, well, we just have to chalk it up to experience and move on, right? Looks like one man didn’t get the memo and brewed in resentment for 6 months!
Twitter user @bottrill went out with someone she met on a dating app. The date was nothing to write home about and the feeling seemed mutual. Neither party initiated conversation thereafter, and eventually, it went cold. This situation is pretty common only, 6 months later, the man in question texted asking her to ‘reconcile’ with him!
I regret to inform you that I have just been roasted to within an inch of my life by this man who bought me one meal in October 2018 and has apparently been seething ever since pic.twitter.com/5iQJdIzCGy

He began by calling her ‘disrespectful’ and said that she had some ‘making up to do’.
When the woman pointed out that he was to blame as well because he didn’t make any effort either, he said,
When she quite frankly told him ‘I’m not interested’, he decided that commenting on her dressing sense was the way to go.
Which was clearly as far from the truth as possible. She believed he was being hostile and entitled for no reason.
“dressed like you was attending a funeral of someone you didn’t like” is a devastatingly accurate description of my personal style; I wore a low cut black dress that had functioning poppers all the way down and 4 inch heels

And netizens agreed with her and declared that she did the right thing by ending things after the first date.

"Life's too short to hold grudges" says the dude who has definitely been angry about it.

How dare you wear something that you want to wear to a date which may be different from something you once wore in a photo. How very dare you.

Phew! Online dating can be so confusing and bizarre. If only it came with an instruction manual.
