Man Free Falls After Bungee Cord Snaps Mid-Air, Lands In Hospital With A Broken Spine

The biggest fear of an adventure junkie trying hands at anything like paragliding and bungee jumping is – what if we fall off the carabiner? The thought is indeed a nightmare that everyone hopes should never come true! But the horror actually came to reality for a bungee jumper who was attempting the stunt at a park in Gdynia in Poland from a height of 100 meters.

The horrifying video of the incident is going viral on social media. The video shows the man raising into the sky at a huge height with cranes. As soon as he attains the desired height, the man seems all set to sail through the skies downward hoping for a safe landing.

But as the chord tightens the rope is seen snapping off mid-air from the carabiner attached to his ankle. He immediately free falls at a great speed towards the ground.

Fortunately, a large air cushion was already placed underneath where he was carrying out the sport as a safety measure. The man initially fell on the air cushion but bounced off.

He was immediately aided by paramedics and bystanders and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors said that he has suffered multiple injuries on his internal organs and a broken spine. No damage was done to his spinal cord and he will soon be able to walk again reports The Sun.

An investigation is underway by the police on the accident. The employees and participants at Bungee club which organized the event are being questioned by the cops.

Meanwhile, the club has also posted a message on their official Facebook page stating, ‘The health of the participant of the unfortunate jump is [in] no serious danger.’
