Well, this man from Singapore is doing just that.
He has been eating only chicken rice for 454 days and counting! The journey that started September 2017 has been meticulously documented on his Instagram handle. He shares a photo of his meal daily. This is the one he posted today.
The name of the handle is kuey.png which is a clever pun on ‘kuey peng’ that means chicken rice in Hokkien dialect. PNG is also his preferred format of pictures. In his bio, he calls himself ‘ji fan fan’ which also implies chicken rice fan.
Apart from his unwavering love for the dish and the scrumptious photos, there’s something else that has caught the fancy of his 10,000 followers. And that is his witty banter in the comments section.

Health-wise eating only one dish every day is not the best choice. His diet is restrictive for sure but you have to give the man points for consistency and dedication. He doesn’t even have cheat days and doesn’t show any signs of stopping his endeavour. So, we’ll wish him the best of luck and continue to think of him whenever we eat chicken rice.
