Many parts of the world are under complete lockdown following the outbreak of coronavirus. While maximum people are staying indoors, animals have got a chance to roam freely around without human presence. And, they must be certainly enjoying freedom. But on the other hand, the stray animals who depend mostly on humans for their food are in trouble.
In a bid to take care of them, many animal activists and volunteers are getting passes from the government so that they can move out to feed the strays amid lockdown. In one such attempt, James Vreeland, who lives in Detroit, has built a tiny restaurant for animals in his front yard, reports Times Now.
The tiny little food park consists of picnic tables with food dishes and basket in different corners. He leaves food and water for squirrels, birds and other animals in the restaurant. The entrance of the little food court also has a signboard with its name, ‘Maison du Noix’ meaning ‘The Nut House’ on it.
The restaurant also has a small squirrel statue holding a dish over its head.
