Aligarh Murder Accused Had Raped His Own Daughter 5Yrs Back, 4 Pending Cases Against Him

Details of the gruesome murder of the 3-year-old child from Aligarh has left the nation in shock. People across the country have come together to mourn for the girl’s life and demand justice for the crimes committed on her. The two accused are arrested and investigations are ongoing. However, further horrifying details have come to light.

One of the two murderers in the Aligarh case had been booked for the rape of his daughter five years back. According to sources, the accused had a total of 4 cases pending against him – sections 376 (rape), 354 (assault with the intention to outrage the modesty of a woman) and 363 (kidnapping).

The victim’s mother has opened up about the incident, blaming the police for “not acting in time” for which 5 policemen have already been suspended for “lapses in investigation”.

“It was around 8.30 am and she was playing outside. She was very playful. The men picked her up from right outside our house. We did not notice as she would usually play in the neighbourhood. When she didn’t return, we panicked and started searching. Police did not act the way they should have on the first day itself,” she said.

The victim’s father said that it is highly possible that his girl was also raped by the accused. The police have said that their claims do not collaborate with the post-mortem reports. However, a vaginal sample of the victim has been sent to the forensics lab and further tests are being conducted.

“The body was more than 72 hours old and the cause of death is shock and haemorrhage. There were putrefaction and entry of maggots,” said Anand Kumar, Additional Director General, Law and Order.

Crimes like this will continue to happen if criminals are set free instead of undergoing their due punishment. Is the government listening?
