All of us wanted cool internships when we were in college. We imagined colourful offices where employees typed away on their laptops sitting on a bean bag sipping on soda. Little did we realise that half the country’s work culture is a nightmare come true! While there are a few “chosen ones” who land up in places that have a cool-quotient they can brag about, many end up in companies which successfully suck their soul out!

A luxury resort in Maldives is offering a summer internship program with unbelievable perks like living in a beautiful luxury villa, get amazing discounts at restaurants, go for snorkelling and cruising. All you have to do is take care of the turtles!
According to sources, the resort, Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, which is home to Olive Ridley Project Marine Turtle Rescue Centre is offering a 2-week internship to anyone across the world where they’ll have to take care of turtles.
The job description mentioned on the resort’s website includes:
- Feeding the turtles.
- Cleaning holding tanks.
- Observing surgeries and medical procedures.
- Attending rescue missions to collect turtles in need.
- Assisting with the release of rehabilitated turtles back into the ocean.
- Interacting with guests who visit the centre and giving them information on the turtles staying at the centre.
- Attending any Olive Ridley Project presentation evenings.
- Posting on the Olive Ridley Project’s social media platforms, to update on your personal progress and show a behind-the-scenes look of the Rescue Centre.
The internship is unpaid but I’m pretty that won’t bother anyone! However, they will cover your flight expenses. Sounds like a good deal?
