From Poppins To Maggi, Blogger’s Makeup Looks Are Inspired By Iconic Indian Snacks

Social media has today given everyone the platform to showcase their hidden talent to millions of people. However, with the world coming online, it has also increased competition among people from the same industry. Hence, artists keep coming up with new ideas and trends to increase their followers and make their content unique from the rest.

And in the quest to stand out from the crowd, beauty blogger and content creator Divya Premchand turned to popular Indian snacks for inspiration.

The 20-year-old Instagrammer created makeup looks inspired by iconic Indian snacks right from Maggi, Lays, Poppins, Haldiram Bhujia and more.

Talking about her thought behind coming up with something so creative, she said to Mid-day, “Honestly, I am not the first make-up blogger to turn to food for inspiration. Several Indian and global bloggers have done it. While their looks were about generic food and Western snacks, I wanted to focus on snacks that hit home. When you are living away from India, it’s difficult to find them on the shelves, barring a few Indian stores. So, I wanted to pay a tribute to these cult snacks,” added the Dubai-based NRI.

Her Indian snacks inspired makeup series took many Indians down memory lane.

Sharing about the response she’s been getting on her profile, Divya says, “The response has been overwhelming. It’s lovely when people get in touch with me and share nostalgia.”

Not only this, the talented artist has also earlier flaunted her skills by recreating the looks of some iconic cartoon characters. Have a look here:

WOW! What a talent. Would like to see her recreate the looks of Indian TV series vamps. She’ll definitely nail them too. What do you think?
