Maisie Williams Says She Was Bullied As A Child And Nobody Deserves To Feel That Way

Maisie Williams aka the badass Arya Stark from ‘Game Of Thrones’ is one of the most adored starlets all around the world, and for good reason! As lovely as she is, her Snapchat compilations that keep going viral show an adventurous and weird side of her that you cannot, not love! But there is more to the character of this 19-year-old Brit.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Maisie Williams revealed that she was bullied as a school student.

“It can happen to absolutely anybody.”

 

She said there is no type of people that get bullied and is focusing on how this generation can make the social media a positive zone.

“There’s nothing about you that made you the victim. It’s just mean people.”

 

Bullying can affect a person in the worst way possible and nobody’s deserves to not reach their potential.

“People say, ‘Oh, that’s so strange that you got bullied’ and I’m like, ‘It’s so strange that anyone gets bullied.’”

 

When asked if she could change the world in just one way, she said,

“We are the most developed generation
 in terms of talking about difficult subjects, homophobia, and sexuality, and racial issues. That’s what I love about us.”

 

She has joined hands with the International Rescue Committee, which gave her the chance to visit Greece and see the refugee crisis first hand.

“I’m going to make the second half of this year my mission to try and better their lives.”
