Isn’t it adorable to see elderly couples enjoying moments of romance once again? Like the elderly couple who had a wedding photoshoot years in their old age, or the ones who found love at an old-age home? Such stories go on to prove that love has no age!
Similarly, 81-year-old Sitaram Hiwrale and 72-year-old Nirmala Ingole first got married on November 16, 1955. Since they were too young and it was an arranged marriage, there was neither love in the ceremony nor is there any memory of it. Which is why 65 years after their marriage, the elderly couple remarried recently and had a beautiful wedding in full swing, reports TOI.
The wedding took place in a small village in Yavatmal, Maharashtra. The wedding consisted of all the rituals starting from Haldi to the Saat Phere! The baarati consisted of the elderly couple’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As the two became the bride and groom once more, their two 50-year-old sons donned the role of their parents to perform the ceremony!
The family printed wedding invitation cards and invited 50 guests to the event due to the pandemic restrictions.
