Many have been lucky to witness the year’s first penumbral lunar eclipse, which is when the moon passes through the earth’s shadow, reports The Sun. The sun, moon, and the earth are perfectly aligned during this time.
Much of Europe has already witnessed the spectacle of the lunar eclipse, popularly called “wolf moon”. Many have taken to Twitter to post pictures of the gorgeous sight with the hashtag #LunarEclipse2020. Have a look:

Well one thing's for sure, temperature is plummeting. Freezing my bits off in SW London 😂 A couple of 7pmers. Almost there… #PenumbralLunarEclipse @StormHour @ThePhotoHour #lunarEclipse2020 pic.twitter.com/nvI2FKk8tc

Froze my tits off down the bottom of the garden for half an hour to try and capture the penumbral eclipse. Hazy clouds aside, it was subtle 🙄 – on the bright side, the steady 737 Stansted traffic made it interesting! #FullMoon #lunarEclipse2020 #WolfMoon pic.twitter.com/VfmjkVFIpW
