However, a group of underprivileged kids from Lucknow turned the ultimate ‘Sabyasachi’ dream into a reality of their own, creating bridal wear inspired by the designer’s iconic collection – and the result is brilliant.

Innovation for Change, a Lucknow-based NGO, recently shared a video showcasing young designers from their organization proudly wearing bridal outfits they crafted themselves. These kids, aged between 12 to 17, live in Malin Basti and come from challenging backgrounds, yet their creativity shines brightly.

With donated clothes from the community, these talented students designed outfits reminiscent of Sabyasachi’s classic bridal looks. Not only did they design the dresses, but the video was also shot by their peers – 15-year-olds honing their videography skills who completely recreated Sabyasachi’s video.

The NGO, which provides free education to over 400 slum children, explained that this project was inspired by a Sabyasachi video the kids saw online. After witnessing the designer’s creations, the young artists decided to bring their own flair to these famous styles. Their efforts didn’t go unnoticed. Sabyasachi himself commented on the video with a heart emoji and even shared it on his Instagram with the caption, “And the winner is…”

This heartening initiative shows how creativity knows no bounds.
