India Today reports Anita Chaudhry saying, “I am married. I was married in a saree. I have two daughters and my family and I love it when I wear saree. I am a saree-loving person. I love Indian attires, I love Indian culture. I believe saree is a most elegant, fashionable and pretty attire,” she added.

She also shared a video in which the restaurant staff can be seen informing her that she was denied entry because they believed a saree does not qualify as “smart casual” attire. Take a look at the video below.

“After that, many excuses were given against the saree but I was not allowed to sit in the restaurant because Indian paridhan saree is not a smart outfit in our India, Bharat, Hindustan,” she wrote.
