In a world full of brutes, if there is anything that can win over hate, it’s love. Love that binds two souls, love that gives one the strength to fight all odds and the same love that burns the bridges of division between people.
While the kind that fizzles out is not rare to find, I couldn’t hold back my tears when I came across a newly-wed couple, Huda and Maneet who didn’t let destiny play out its cruel design, rather fought for their love and gave us all every reason to say, ‘love can.’
Huda and Maneet recently got married in Dubai in a beautiful beach wedding with friends and families in attendance and it looked every bit dreamy!
But their journey together, to get everyone to the D-day was nothing short of an emotional romantic tale that will surely tear you up.
The families weren’t ready for the union at first because Huda is a Pakistani Muslim and Maneet is a Hindu Jain from India. It was a tussle about faith, religion and belief.
“She was from a different religion, so nothing else crossed their mind.”
It wasn’t easy at all.
“They said ‘either chose her or you leave home. so, he left home.”
Rather, heartbreaking on both their parts to fight for love but fight with their own kind.
But after a lot of pleadings and attempts to convince their parents, the duo finally won hearts and decided to walk the aisle.

And Huda’s happiness, when she joined her man of dreams, knew no bounds too.
And then, they put a ring on it!
With the blessings and approval of their parents, the duo decided on forever!
