Locust Swarms Attack Gurgaon, Residents Share Disturbing Visuals On Twitter

For the past few months, India has been battling another crisis alongside the pandemic – locust attacks. Huge swarms of locusts have entered Gurgaon this morning and several parts of the city, including residential complexes, offices, metro stations have been attacked, reports NDTV. The affected areas include MG Road, IFFCO Chowk, DLF Phase I-IV, Village Chakkarpur, Sikandarpur and Sukhrali.

Shocking visuals of the locust attack have gone viral on social media. Residents of the affected areas took to Twitter to post videos of swarms of locusts flying by. Have a look:

According to The Indian Express, Gurgaon District Administration has advised residents to keep windows and doors locked and to make loud noises beating on tin cans, plates and drums. Farmers have been asked to keep their spraying pumps ready.
