It was about two decades ago when internet first came to India and today, it has become the air we breathe, the food we eat and, all in all, our lifeline. And just as survival without air and food is impossible, for us internet babies, survival without surfing net every second of the day is also impossible.
Talking about India specifically, the disasters that would happen if internet just vanished one day from our lives, would be extremely traumatizing, especially for those who are so habituated to the thing that they can’t do without it even while in toilets (not that we are debating it to be a good habit).
So here’s the list of the many crisis situations that would arise if some day internet decided to bid us good bye!
1. More than half of India will get unemployed because all big shot companies will shut down
Offices of popular e-commerce sites will be converted into museums.
2. You won’t be able to find answers to questions like ‘how can I get revenge on my noisy neighbours?’
Yes! Internet is one friend that has answers to every possible problem!
3. Music apps, free calling apps, and all the other cool apps will amount to nothing more than tiny funky icons on phone!
No daily news updates. No Whatsapp. NO WHATSAPP! *cries*
4. You will have to sell your i-phones. But then again, with no access to OLX or Quickr, how will you ever be able to sell it?
So you will own an i-phone that makes (only) calls!
5. The duck-faced selfie and pout selfie trend will cut back!
But I guess that will be a good change?
6. There will be no Google!
How will our minds ever be able to function without it!
7. Making cross country calls will again become a rarity
Long distance relationships ki to lag gayi!
8. Never ending queues at Tatkal counter!
Getting a flight ticket won’t be easier either.
9. Finding good hotels, plumbers, technicians, tutors, salons, nothing is going to be easy!
N.O.T.H.I.N.G
10. Passports will take even longer to get ready!
As if this process was a piece of cake earlier! But with internet gone, no more going abroad!
11. Social media website buffs will take months to accustom to the life wherein they won’t get to change their DPs often
Girls. Don’t you cry.
12. We won’t be able to share ”what’s on your mind” with thousands of virtual friends
“Where do I go? Who do I talk to?”
13. Everyone will become ‘friend-less’ and no one will be ‘followed’!

14. Parents will have to start teaching their kids how to talk again
Kids might end up wearing masks of different emoji expressions!
15. Laptops will soon begin to be seen as artefacts from the glorious days of the internet age
Wallah! A Laptop!
16. Dogs/cats/elephants/or any other species for that matter, won’t get to star in videos and be appreciated by the world for being so darn adorable

17. No more AIB!!!

18. No more downloads!
There used to be something called download. Remember anyone? Anyone?
19. No more good old Gmail

20. No more sharing of travel diaries with the world

21. No more being able to bash KRK who truly deserves all the bashing on internet
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
22. Recharging phones, digital TV accounts, and paying bills will no longer be a matter of just a few clicks!

23. No more being able to lead a complete and satisfactory life!
Life without internet is like Tom without Jerry!
Just thinking about what will happen without you petrifies us. So please, please, Internet never leave us!
