After Varun Dhawan, Mumbai Police Slaps Kunal Kemmu With A Challan For Riding Without A Helmet

Kunal Kemmu

So we are all pretty familiar with the savage badassery of the Mumbai Police on Twitter right? Mostly thanks to their funny AF public service initiatives. But they’ve also proved that they’re dead serious about their job, be it online or offline. Remember when Varun Dhawan got schooled for his ‘adventurous’ selfie with a fan?

Well, it’s happened again, folks. And this time they’ve served it hot to another Bollywood star.

Go Goa Gone star, Kunal Kemmu recently tweeted a photo which shows him riding a bike without a helmet. In the tweet, the actor apologises for not wearing a helmet in the photo and says he doesn’t want to set a bad example.

That was a commendable thing to do, right? When you have fans like Kemmu, you do have a certain responsibility to lead by example.

Well, the Mumbai Police weren’t about to let him off the hook with just an apology. Almost within an hour of his tweet, they tweeted back at him with a warning and penalty.

The tweet read:

“kunalkemmu You love bikes, we love every citizen’s safety. And we wish a regret could avert mishaps! Hope next time the realisation won’t be an afterthought! An e – challan has been dispatched.”

Some users were a bit apprehensive in believing that they actually had issued a challan against Kemmu within next to no time.

Like a true bawse though, they quickly responded with an image of the challan.

Kemmu, on the other hand, accepted his punishment most graciously.

The Twitterati had a field day with the whole exchange by the way. They went to town with jokes and some ratting out as well.

1. Well someone had to say it.

2. Can you feel the disapproval too or is it just me?

3. Ahem!

4. Challans going to be flying in every direction soon.

Well kids, there you have it. Drive slow, drive responsibly and most importantly wear a helmet for everyone’s sake. Or else you can be sure the Mumbai Police will be out to get you.
