Kolkata Auto Driver Sets Up Garden On Top Of Vehicle To Beat The Heat, Delivers A Strong Message

It is that time of the year when round neck tees become our best fashion buddies. It is that time of the year when our heart craves more for an ice-cream than a plate of biryani. And of course, it is also the time of the year when we would happily ditch a cheap auto ride for an air-conditioned Uber. Because folks, the summers are off and running.

However, there is one auto-driver in Kolkata, who isn’t bowing down to the mighty summers.

Yes, Bijay Pal from the ‘City of Joy’ has come up with an amazing plan to beat the heat during these hot and humid months. In a bid to keep his auto cool, Pal has set up a garden on top of auto and we can’t help but laud his creativity!

In a picture going viral on Twitter, Pal’s auto can be seen donning a beautiful cover of grass on its head. Not only plain grass but it also has small trees and flowering shrubs!

He has also taken the opportunity to spread a very important message among the public. If you take a closer look, you will be able to see a line written in Bengali just below the garden. If translated to English, it stands “Save Trees, Save Lives.”

His auto is also a ‘green auto’ which runs on LPG and highlights his concern for the environment. Pal also waters his plants daily and spends a major amount of his earning in taking care of the garden.
