Indian politicians and authorities do not realise what they’re saying until after the words have left their mouths. These statements they make so boldly sometimes have no factual or logical basis.
Just the other day, ex-DGP of Karnataka made a few unwarranted comments towards Nirabhaya’s mother about her physique and addressed the women in the audience with his advice on rape. Nirbhaya’s mother then responded with a powerful letter to his comment.
While this was an example of a seriously disturbing comment, there are times when officials say some hilarious things.
According to a report in The Indian Express, on Wednesday, Attorney General KK Venugopal said that the information collected for Aadhaar is protected behind 13 ft. high and 5 feet thick walls.
According to News18, he further added that the scheme is to put an end to corruption and that all of the data, including biometrics, are being kept at a complex in Manesar, near Delhi.
Needless to say, the statements were surprising and amusing at the same time. I mean, can you imagine a 13 feet high wall within which ‘protects’ all our DIGITAL data?
Twitterati was quick to react and it led to an array of hilarious memes, jokes and sarcastic remarks.
1. A special category only for our dear Sir.
AG KK Venugopal shall be nominated for #Nobel Prize in security.. Yes, Nobel committee should create a prize category for #security and KK Venugopal should be declared a first and only winner in this category for building 13 feet high wall to secure #aadhaar data… @UIDAI https://t.co/rOkf2Fol8y

5. This is some creativity, though.
AG, KK Venugopal to SC: "Data collected under #Aadhaar is secure. It's kept in a building that has 10-ft thick walls."
AG means 'Asylum General'.
As @UIDAI means 'Unlimited Idiocy Delivered by Authentic Idiots'.#DestroyTheAadhaar anyway to send all these Retards to Mars.

6. Maybe they don’t have enough cloud storage.
Phew! So relieved to hear that they don't keep any #Aadhaar data in the cloud; it could leak during the rainy season. https://t.co/5Fn4vBafK9

And should #Aadhaar data ever leak through the 13 feet wall I'm sure Govt. has a team of masons available round the clock to plug the leak. Mind it you anti-nationals. ☺☺

Even the Northern Wall of Game of Thrones couldn’t protect Westeros, so I don’t know how this 13 feet high wall can keep our data safe. But then again, KK Venugopal has requested the Supreme Court to allow him to give a presentation on the security features. So maybe we’ll just have to wait for that to unravel.
