Hippo At Zoo Excited After Meeting Pet Kittens, Dedicates A Poem To Them

A few months back, we read stories and watched videos of puppies and kittens hanging around in aquariums, while humans were locked indoors, and it was the dose of positivity we needed in our lives! Thankfully, this thing has now become a trend.

Recently, kittens and dogs went to the San Antonio Zoo and met with a giant hippo named Timothy, leopards, lions, giraffes, and other wild animals, reports Hindustan Times.

The initiative was to create awareness regarding “pet ownership and adoption” and was arranged by the Animal Defense League of Texas.

The little kittens can be seen gazing at Timothy, the hippo, with awe. The dogs were seen wagging their tails when they got close to the wild animals and it is all shades adorable!

People on the internet are loving how the pet animals got along with the animals at the zoo. They want to see more of Timothy and kittens meeting because, by the looks of it, the animals had a lot of fun!

In another post by the San Antonio Zoo, Timothy the hippo expressed how he felt after meeting with the kittens.

“I had so much fun when the kittens came to visit me. Grandma says we can’t adopt one because “I am more than a handful!” I don’t even know what that means. I DON’T HAVE HANDS!”

Timothy also composed a poem dedicated to the little kittens!

“Hi little kitten
You could fit in a hippo mitten
You’re eyes got so big that day that you saw me
I bet you thought I wanted to eat thee
You move really fast
If you weren’t so cute I would have been aghast
I hope I get to see you again
You’ve quickly become my furry little friend!”
