Maang Tika is a traditional Indian accessory, mandatorily worn by a bride during the wedding rituals. It typically symbolizes celebrations and of course, the Indian culture. The fashion mogul paired up the Maang Tika with a white gown, a color which symbolizes sorrow in India. The mismatch of an accessory that signifies celebration with a color that represents mourning has not been received well by the people.
Kim Kardashian, who boasts 133 million-plus followers on Instagram posted a few pictures of herself donning the Maang Tika with a caption that read, “Sunday Service Vibe”.
