Ours is a culture that is several millennia old. And with India being a diverse country, it’s a melting pot of several different cultures and traditions that make us unique.
Recently, cricket commentator and former England international player Kevin Pietersen tweeted how he is in awe of our culture that teaches people to respect their seniors or elders; a common notion that is, unfortunately, disappearing fast in the West.
Something still richly engrained in Indian people, is RESPECTING elders. And it’s so good to see. 🙏🏽

Kevin, We happen to be one of the Oldest Living Civilizational People with Deep Cultural roots and we and our Children are still taught to bow down and touch the feet of the Elderly……

Yes we Indian, mostly lives in joint family, say an extended family, consits of 3 or more generation, so that’s why we value our relationship & respect elders ..

Yes it’s our core values, many respect that. But here as well we see people disrespecting their parents later on in their life, sending them to old age homes etc.
