Watch How A Group Of Women In Kerala Reached Out To Flood Affected Women In Kashmir

There are no borders and barriers when it comes down to helping someone in need.

A dark and devastating time came over the valley of Kashmir as it faced disastrous floods in September this year. It was a tough time for all- with water reaching up to the 2nd floor and submerging homes underwater in time lesser than one takes to blink. While food, medicines, and clothing were taken care of, the lesser spoken of, but very important thing was missed out- sanitary napkins for women.

Kerala’s biggest women’s self help organization, Kudumbashree, realized this and immediately sent sanitary napkins to all the women who were in dire need of it. The women working in the organization toiled for days in order to make the pads and sent them across right away.
