Desi Twitter Takes ‘Kedarnath’ Dad’s Conservative Dialogue & Turns It Into A Hilarious Meme

Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’ will take us back to the harrowing 2013 Uttarakhand floods. But before disaster strikes the town, we’ll go through the (probably fictional) love story of Mukku (Sara Ali Khan), a Hindu girl and Mansoor (Sushant Singh Rajput), a Muslim boy. Now, while that particular plot has irked some extremely sensitive people, desi Twitter has turned the movie’s take on conservatism into a meme.

Like any other movie that deals with religion-based conflicts, the ‘Kedarnath’ trailer shows Mukku falling in love with Mansoor. However, when that’s found out by Mukku’s father, he opposes it by saying the most cliched dialogue in Bollywood history.

Yes, you read that right. Mukku’s father is so opposed to the concept of inter-religion marriage that he won’t let it happen even if the apocalypse is upon them.

Desi Twitter rightfully found this father from Kedarnath to be over-the-top (and why wouldn’t they? it’s 2018), and turned his line into a meme.

To be honest, Mukku’s father was asking for an apocalypse and he got one in the movie. Now, let’s wait and watch if the “sangam” that he hates, ends up happening or not.
