Yesterday was Ganesh Chaturthi, and people welcomed Ganpati Bappa with open arms and hearts into their homes. Several Bollywood celebrities brought Lord Ganesha to their homes, or visited the homes of friends and family who did so to seek the elephant god’s blessings.
Amongst one of the cities more iconic Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations is the one that’s held every year hosted by Salman Khan and his family. This year too, Bappa was welcomed amidst much fanfare at sister Arpita Khan Sharma’s home.
Salman’s brother-in-law Aul Agnihotri shared a video of the entire Khan family taking turns to do Lord Ganesha’s aarti.

From mother Salma Khan, Salman, Sohail and Arbaaz and their kids, to Alvira Agnihotri, Arpita Khan Sharma, hubby Ayush Sharma and Katrina Kaif, everyone got the chance to perform Bappa’s aarti.
However, while Katrina Kaif’s presence in the video excited a lot of fans, she seems to have ruffled a few feathers because of the fallacious manner in which she did the aarti.
Omg Katrina did the aarti in a wrong way 🙄 someone could atleast tell her 😒

For those not aware, the aarti thali has to be circled clockwise, as opposed to the anti-clockwise way that Kat did.
This seems to have irked many a fans on Twitter and Instagram, and they made sure to drop in a comment of two about it.

A lot of them mentioned how since everyone else knew the right way of doing the aarti, one of them should’ve corrected Katrina when she was going wrong.
Of course, there was also the perfectly neutral side, which emphasised on the fact that right or wrong didn’t matter, as long as the aarti was done with full faith and emotion!
Wrong way or right way, Aarati is aarti if done with sharadha.. – https://t.co/ICdZXC58VL

And indeed that ought to be the right sentiment here!
