For many families, their dogs aren’t just their pet animals. In fact, they become a part of their family. So it is only natural that they would want their dogs to be a part of all Indian festivals and have an enjoyable time, just like humans.
Television actor Karishma Tanna lives with her two dogs Zack and Koko. This year, she wants Diwali to be a special occasion for them as well. So she will be celebrating the festival of lights with her mother, mother-in-law, husband Varun Bangera and her two dogs in a pet-friendly fashion.

A report by Hindustan Times revealed how. This is Karishma Tanna’s first Diwali after marriage. So she wants it to be special not only for her family but also for Zack and Koko. From sweets to clothes for her furry friends, here’s what she planned:
“I have lots of friends who make sugar-free mithais for pets, keeping in mind their dietary needs. Even during Ganesh Chaturthi, I had ordered sweets for them. This Diwali also I’m going to do the same. As for clothes, I don’t want them to wear too much zari. I want them to be comfortable and feel special.”

She further went on to say something very touching. So you know how after marriage, most women are asked when they plan on getting married? Karishma was asked the same and she had a heartwarming reply that most pet parents will relate to:
“I already feel like a mother. People ask me, ‘When are you going to have a child?’ I feel like I already have two. I just feel as important and special (as a mother).”
