Kareena Pointed Out How Upsetting It Is To Ask An Expecting Mother If It’s A Boy Or A Girl!

The Bollywood diva recently announced her pregnancy and has been basking in the glow of it gloriously. She wowed everyone, even more, when she decided not to stop working through her pregnancy and even walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week. She is making a statement that’s worth noticing.

Kareena Kapoor came to extend her support for the Global Citizen movement in India on Monday evening. She further added that she was tired of being asked frivolous questions on the gender of her child. She even went on to express that she has done more for her parents than a son would ever do!

“Wherever I go these days there is just one question asked which I think quite intrusive but, still I am asked both me and Saif whether it is a boy or is it a girl? Have you found out? And I am like excuse me what difference does it make. I am a girl child I would love to have a girl what is the difference.”

She went on to point out how much questions and assumptions about an expecting mother who chooses to continue to work actually disturbs a couple.

“We are still in a nation where we have been asked oh you are getting married and still going to work, oh you are having a child are you’re still going to work. These questions upset me. “

The actress’ words rang so true when she said that it there is no greater joy than being a mother. It doesn’t matter if it’s a girl or a boy.

“Not just for me or my child but for the millions of children out there. For all those people who think a girl child is considered taboo, a girl is considered not equal enough, not up to a man but you must know a woman is the only soul that has the right to carry a soul in her. That is truly something that is a joy.”
