In a video that has gone viral, Kulwinder Kaur is heard claiming that she slapped the actor-turned-politician for her previous statements regarding the farmer’s protest.

“Isne byan diya tha na Rs 100-200 ke liye baith ti hai waha pe? Meri maa baithi thi,” she said.

This roughly translates to, she had said people were sitting for the protest for Rs 100-200. My mother was sitting for the protest.

Kangana Ranaut took to social media to give an official statement regarding the incident.

Narrating the entire ordeal, she said:

“I am safe, I am perfectly fine. The slapping incident that happened at Chandigarh Airport occurred during the security check. When I completed the security check and was waiting to pass the woman security officer, she came towards me, hit me, and started abusing me. When I asked why she did it, she said she supports the farmers. I am safe, but my concern is how to handle this shocking rise in terror and violence in Punjab?”
