Kangana Summoned In Defamation Case By Javed Akhtar, Calls Herself ‘Lioness’ Among ‘Jackals’

Actress Kangana Ranaut is no stranger to controversies. The ‘Queen’ of Bollywood is known for sharing her unfiltered opinions about the entertainment industry. In fact, ever since Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death, she has openly spoken against the Bollywood mafia and levied accusations against several celebrities in B-town.

Speaking of which, a Mumbai court recently issued summons to the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ actor for a defamation case filed against her by lyricist Javed Akhtar. The city police had stated that an offence of defamation, as alleged by Akhtar, is made out and requires further investigation, reports NDTV.

Sharing a news article about the same, Kangana hinted that she is a ‘lioness’ among a ‘pack of jackals’.

Last December, the Andheri metropolitan magistrate had asked the Juhu police to conduct an inquiry into the complaint of defamation filed by Akhtar against Kangana. In his complaint, Akhtar has accused the actress of making ‘baseless comments’ about him being part of a ‘gang’ in Bollywood. He further alleged that her statements damaged his reputation.

The police on Monday submitted their report to the court and after perusing it, Magistrate R R Khan issued summons to the actor. The matter is due for hearing on March 1 now. What do you think of this incident? Tell us.
