“Join My Music Academy, Learn Nuances”, Kailash Kher Responds To Zayn Malik’s Teri Deewani Cover

So, if you’ve somehow missed the memo, Zayn Malik, the musical sensation from the West, recently left many scratching their head when he crooned Kailash Kher’s ‘Teri Deewani‘ as a part of an Instagram spree with various snippets of iconic song covers.

I know that was a long sentence but his rendition left me and many music lovers with a long face. Do you see us complaining? Okay, maybe you’re about to.

Wondering what Kailash Kher has to say about all of this, well… don’t!

Because he has finally responded to Zayn Malik singing his songs. According to Hindustan Times, Kailash has never heard of the man!

“I didn’t even know who he was until someone sent me the video saying, ‘Look, who sang your song’. I was like, ‘Kaun hai bhai?’

“And then I went on to his Instagram account, and saw that he has covered the song and he has over 27 million followers,” he added.

Nope, that’s not all.

Although he loved Zayn’s effort, the Sufi singer had some very specific suggestions for the pop star. 

“For Zayn Malik, I would suggest…we have our digital academy (Kailash Kher Academy of Learning Arts) coming up soon, where there will be a course dedicated to all our compositions, which include Teri Deewani and other superhits to know and learn the correct codes and nuances.

It will help him improve his skills on such songs.”

Having said that, Kailash feels humbled that Teri Deewani still has this kind of impact on people and honoured that his music is reaching artist beyond the seas.
