Once Abandoned For Her ‘Weird’ Eyes, Husky Gets Adopted By Loving Family

All doggos are cute and cuddly. But some of them are born with unusual features that make them even more adorable. Case in point, Narwhal the Little Magical Furry Unicorn who has a tail growing on his forehead or Wiley the Dalmatian with a heart-shaped black spot on his nose.

According to NDTV, a 4-year-old Siberian husky named Jubilee has a congenital eyelid deformity that makes her eyes appear surprised. Deeming her unusual eyes “weird”, her breeder left her at a shelter called Husky House in New Jersey.

UPDATE – Thanks to everyone who shared Jubilee’s story. She has found her forever home with previous Husky House…

Despite the vet declaring her happy and healthy, Jubilee struggled to get adopted as many felt her eyes were googly and funny-looking. On January 15, the shelter posted her pictures on Facebook which quickly went viral. CNN quoted a staff member saying,

“Since the original Facebook post went viral, we received an overwhelming amount of love, support, and inquiries, including adoption requests. We are so happy to see that everyone feels she is as wonderful as we always knew she was.”

Thank you to Dr. Doug Cotler of South Brunswick Animal Hospital for giving our girl, Jubilee, a physical exam and making sure she stays healthy!

They further wrote,

“We want to thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of support, comments, love, and outreach for our Jubilee. She is very special.”

On January 19, a loving family with two other doggos as pets welcomed her into their home. Check it out.
