Monsoon is here in the city of Mumbai and like every year, this season demands people to be kind and selfless towards their fellow city dwellers. As people get stranded on the road amidst heavy showers, fall short of groceries and medicines at home, and deal with floods in several part of the city, Mumbaikars with big hearts and bigger resolve set out to help those in need. Here’s an example.
A journalist named Latha Venkatesh shared how not one, but two taxi drivers helped her recently while it was raining heavily in the city. One taxi driver gave her, and three other distressed people a lift and refused to take money from them.
Deeply grateful to 2 taxidrivers who helped out in the rains today. One, at Sion hospital picked me along with 3 other distressed stranded passerbys a & took us to Plaza. Refused to take money. I had to force a 100 rupee note. He forced me to take back Rs50. 1/2

Another driver too drove her to Worli and returned the change even after being asked to keep the extra cash.
“Such humaneness and honesty from people who can less afford it,” Venkatesh wrote. Have a look:
2/2 Another cabbie drove me from Plaza to worli. Meter read Rs 91. I gave a 100 and requested him not to return change. Again he forced me to take back Rs10. Such humaneness and honesty, from people who can less afford it! God bless!🙏🙏🙏

Taxi drivers of Mumbai are very good. I have experienced same kind of feelings many times in mumbai. I prefer to travel mumbai taxi than my own car because I get to know lot about Aamchi Mumbai and more about political scenario of Maharashtra politics.
